Optical Street Art by Italian Muralist Vera Bugatti
When you're young you have magic and wonder and amazement. Pure awe at simple things. Vera Bugatti's Optical street art provides this exact experience for viewers and passersby.
Coming off the back of a liberal arts degree, her chalk work illusions have won numerous awards and have been featured in various street art books like 'Sidewalk Canvas’ by Julie Kirk Purcell, ‘Street Art’ by Russ Thorne, and 'The Art of Chalk' by Tracy Lee Stum.
Vera has the ability to take viewers on a journey; a visual escape from reality by being transported into her paintings and chalk work, much in the same way chimney sweep Dick Van Dyke took Mary Poppins actress Julie Andrews into his paintings.
